Knowledge of backend technologies such as a JVM language like Kotlin, Node.js, GraphQL allows you to build and debug reliable, maintainable, and extensible applications from browser to database.

Your proficiency extends to databases, distributed computing, and cloud platforms, with deep expertise in at least one of these technologies. You're driven by a desire for impact beyond individual contributions; you possess a holistic view, working seamlessly across boundaries for the benefit of the product and its users.

Proactive in seeking and providing feedback, you maintain open communication about growth opportunities with your manager(s) and colleagues.

Requirements - A Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, software engineering, or a related field - Substantial professional experience in software development, with a solid record of designing, building and evolving complex software systems over a period of years - Demonstrate a strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices - Expertise in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Rust, C++, etc - Expertise in backend development for data-intensive applications - Experience working with databases such as Postgres or MySQL - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with great attention to detail - Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum or Kanban Benefits Seeq is a remote-first (and only) company founded by serial entrepreneurs.
