Overview Dane Street is seeking experienced, Board-Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians licensed in Connecticut to join our growing panel of independent physician reviewers. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to conduct comprehensive medical record reviews and provide objective, evidence-based opinions on cases involving musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain conditions, rehabilitation services, functional impairment, and treatment planning.

This fully remote opportunity offers flexible scheduling and the ability to customize your workload while working as a 1099 independent contractor. Position Description As a Physician Reviewer, you will evaluate medical records, prepare concise clinical summaries, and provide independent medical opinions in response to specific questions posed by our clients.

Reviews may include assessments of medical necessity, appropriateness of care, causation, impairment, functional capacity, rehabilitation needs, treatment recommendations, and return-to-work considerations. Primary responsibilities include: - Reviewing medical records and supporting documentation - Conducting evidence-based clinical assessments - Preparing clear, comprehensive written reports - Participating in peer-to-peer discussions when necessary - Answering client-specific questions regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, rehabilitation services, and functional outcomes - Applying current clinical guidelines and standards of care to all reviews Areas of Expertise - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) - Musculoskeletal Medicine - Chronic Pain Management - Spine Disorders and Back Pain - Occupational and Work-Related Injuries - Functional Capacity and Impairment Assessments - Rehabilitation and Recovery Planning - Non-Operative Musculoskeletal Care - Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EMG/NCS) (if applicable) - Sports and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Join a team that values your expertise and commitment to improving the quality, accuracy, and consistency of healthcare assessments.

Requirements - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) - Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Current, unrestricted Connecticut medical license - Active clinical practice or recent experience in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience - Experience evaluating musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, pain management, and functional impairment cases preferred - Ability to attend required orientation and training sessions - Maintain all applicable licensure, certifications, credentialing, and professional requirements necessary to perform reviewer services
