Founding Designer

We're looking for a designer who will play a critical role in designing Automat's platform and creating a brand language through every surface of the Automat experience. You'll work directly with our co-founder CEO, Lucas Ochoa and need to have better design taste than he. (did he write this, he may have yes) The ideal candidate will have deep technical skill in design and an appreciation for excellent engineering.

Ideally you've previously combined both in order to build brilliant products experiences and materials that are balanced, efficient, and work perfectly in their time and context. We're trying to find the 2025 software equivalent of the mid century designers Plywood. If this sounds interesting, please help us do that.

- You've thought about apple products a lot - and say 99 No's for every Yes

- have prior experience in a fast-moving, high-growth setting

- Have taken experiences end to end: from concept to production

- are inspired by the new creative possibilities that AI interactions enable and are eager to invent.

- Are visually and therefore viscerally offended when you see poorly spaced type or an improperly nested corner radius

- Are meticulous about keeping your design portfolio up to date (only kidding)

- Have received some awards for your incredible product / design work
