Full job description

What you'll do

As a Staff Product Manager, PLG, you will define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Airwallex's next-generation AI-powered products. You will work at the intersection of fintech, AI/ML, and global financial operations, building intelligent automation and customer experiences that scale across regions and languages.

This is a high-impact, strategic role with the opportunity to shape the future of global payments, treasury, cards, and B2B financial operations.

This role is based in SF or Singapore
Responsibilities:

- Drive Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives, including in-product nudges, rewards, cross-sell systems, and lifecycle automation to enhance customer adoption, retention, and revenue generation.

- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI-powered features and platforms, from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization.

- Define and champion the product vision and roadmap, balancing long-term innovation with short-term business needs.

- Partner with engineering, data science, design, compliance, and commercial teams to deliver scalable, secure, and intuitive AI solutions.

- Build and ship hands-on AI/ML-powered products (e.g., copilots, agents, chatbots, recommendation systems), not just integrate models into existing flows.

- Leverage AI-driven technologies and data-driven insights to innovate, improve user experience, and reduce operational friction.

- Lead the development of customer service and support automation (e.g., bots, self-serve flows, deflection journeys) to deliver intelligent automation across payments, onboarding, and support.

- Ensure compliance, transparency, and responsible AI practices are embedded in all products, especially in regulated domains like payments, treasury, and cards.

- Launch products across multiple regions and languages in a fast-paced, global environment, collaborating with local teams to ensure market fit and regulatory compliance.

- Mentor and lead other product managers, with the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership role.

Minimum qualifications:

- 7+ years of product management experience owning core product areas end-to-end for complex, multi-surface products (e.g., platforms, marketplaces, productivity tools), including 0→1 or early-stage products in high-ambiguity environments with a clear builder mindset.

- Hands-on experience building and shipping AI/LLM-powered products, with deep technical fluency in how modern ML systems are trained, evaluated, deployed, and monitored.

- Data-driven, growth-oriented problem solver with strong analytical rigor (dashboards, SQL or product analytics tools) and a track record of running experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to improve activation, adoption, or retention.

- Builder mindset, stakeholder management skills, able to align engineering, data, design, operations, CS, and GTM partners around strategy, roadmap, and execution.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in fintech, payments, treasury, cards, or B2B financial operations, including working within compliance/risk/role-based access constraints.

- Prior work on growth, lifecycle, or PLG products (e.g., in-product nudges, rewards, cross-sell systems, lifecycle automation).

- Technical background or prior role in AI/ML, data science, or engineering.

- Experience building customer service/support automation (e.g., bots, self-serve flows, deflection journeys).

- Experience launching products across multiple regions and languages in a fast-paced, global environment.
