System & Hardware Validation and DVT Engineers to support the design, verification, and qualification of next-generation computing platforms, including datacenter systems and FPGA-based platforms.
The System & Hardware Validation and DVT Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of AMD's hardware and systems through Design Verification Testing (DVT) . This role bridges design and validation, ensuring products meet specifications before moving to production
Responsibilities: Lead DVT execution for complex systems, including FPGA-based datacenter platforms.
Drive EVT → DVT → PVT transitions, ensuring smooth progression from engineering to production.
Perform system bring-up and debug to resolve functional and integration issues.
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, validation, manufacturing, and test teams.
Develop and maintain test scripts/tools to improve testing efficiency and accuracy .
Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on results and issues .
Troubleshoot and debug hardware and system issues, working with design engineers to find solutions.
Mentor junior team members on testing processes and procedures .
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field

6-10 years of experience in hardware validation and DVT testing for computer systems.

Strong knowledge of industry standard validation and DVT methodologies

Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail

Experience in high-speed hardware validation, specifically in electrical device validation tests (EDVT).

Strong expertise in PCBA testing, signal integrity measurements, power consumption measurement, and system-level validation (ESD, thermal, functional).

Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power meters, Traffic Generators (IXIA/KeySight, VIAVI/JDSU) and environmental chambers.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in hardware validation and testing.
