Highway CADD Designer

Job Description Step into your new role As a Highway CADD Designer working in the Mid-Atlantic Region, you will focus on multiple projects ranging from small transportation enhancements, small bridge projects to large highway/interchange projects.

These projects may include intersection improvements, road widenings, bridge rehab/replacement designs and major interchange designs. This position is available in the Mechanicsburg, PA office.

Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of highway and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with applicable design criteria, standards, and regulations.

Prepare engineering documents for project advertisements and construction under the supervision of senior engineers and project managers. Collaborate with the highway design team to deliver projects following Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) standards and specifications.

Conduct engineering calculations, technical analysis, and assist in the preparation of design plans. Support project budgeting, cost estimating, and scheduling efforts as needed.

Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to coordinate project activities. Responsible for CADD management setup and work space, CADD library, file maintenance, etc.

Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in highway transportation design. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver's license with a history of safe driving practices. Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, and Open Road Design.
