Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) is seeking for a Director of Development to join our team. Successful candidates will begin as a Director of Development 3 or Director of Development 4 dependent upon their qualifications.
As the Director of Development, VTH, you are responsible for supporting CVM fundraising goals by planning and conducting outreach designed to promote constituent understanding of the CVM’s activities and research with the aim of cultivating donors and raising money. These efforts may include, but are not limited to annual giving, major gift development, and planned gift identification and advancement.
Extensive travel in Washington State, the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere is required.
A Director of Development 3 secures 12-16 major gifts or pledges, opens a minimum of 20 solicitations, and has a minimum annual fundraising goal of $750,000.
A Director of Development 4 secures 12-16 major gifts or pledges, opens a minimum of 20 solicitations, and has a minimum annual fundraising goal of $1,000,000.
You may also contribute to strategic planning for the CVM's development unit however, you are primarily responsible for the execution of fundraising strategies in collaboration with senior advancement leadership.
Percentage Breakdown of Job Functions: 80% Major Donor Cultivation, Solicitation and Stewardship 15% Unit Specific Responsibilities 5% Other duties as assigned.
This is a full time (100 % FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime exempt.
Director of Development 3: $5,485.73 - $8,402.20 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Director of Development 4: $6,012.09 - $9.403.52 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
