In this role, you won't just push buttons—you’ll understand how the machine works, troubleshoot root causes when issues arise, and help us produce defect-free products for our customers.
Ideal candidates must be able and flexible to work one of the assigned shifts.
The starting wage for Finishing & Coating Operators is $22.47/hr + $2/hr. shift differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift.
- Machine Operation: Perform routine setups, changeovers, and equipment adjustments to run orders to exact specification.
- Quality & Precision: Monitor gauges, meters, and standard measuring tools (tape measures) to catch abnormalities before they create waste.
- Logistics & Material Handling: Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts/heavy equipment) to load, move, and ship materials.
- Problem Solving & Care: Maintain inventory accuracy, conduct cycle counts, and investigate mechanical issues to identify root causes.
- Team Collaboration: Step outside daily tasks to support teammates, participate in continuous improvement, and keep the facility safe and efficient
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience
- Must be able to follow written and oral instruction
- Must prioritize safety in every aspect of the working environment adhering to established safety practices, policies, and procedures
- Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests
- Keen attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Movement: May require the ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of your shift, with frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting 50% of the time.
- Lifting: May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds 50% of your shift.
- Environment: May require being comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures
