Full job description

Hours are M-F with shift times between 715a-7pm. One later date required once per week. No weekends and no holidays currently required, may be a possibility in the future.

Prefer OB/GYN experience.

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions.

  • Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred
  • OB/GYN experience highly preferred.

As a Medical Assistant , you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

  • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
  • Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Our experienced OB/GYN team assists with women’s health care needs. From adolescence through menopause, we offer preventive care for women at every stage of life. Our women’s health clinic is conveniently located at 3000 N Halsted St, Ste 309, Chicago, IL, 60657.

We offer routine gynecologic care, such as Pap smears and breast health exams, plus maternal and prenatal care. Our site also assists with needs related to birth control, contraceptives and family planning. Our team helps treat a range of women’s health conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, cysts and fibroids, and breast cancer.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
  • Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
  • May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
