Medical Assistant - Glendale

The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments.

Typically work on semi-routine assignments. You will report to the Center Administrator of the clinic

The Medical Assistant discusses symptoms, obtains vital signs, administers medications and vaccines, performs phlebotomy, collects specimens, conducts screening tests, sterilizes equipment, maintains exam rooms, documents in electronic records, and collaborates with providers within certification limits.

• You will be Certified or Registered
• You will have Phlebotomy experience
• You will have Medication/vaccine administration experience
• You will have 1+ years MA experience
• You will have a High school diploma or equivalent
• You will be CPR Certified
• You will be patient facing and run the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB.

• 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communicationnication
