Education: Doctorate
A healthier future. It’s what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come.
Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That’s what makes us Genentech.
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available for a highly motivated and independent candidate to join the laboratory of Dr. Marc Kschonsak in the Protein Engineering and Structural Biology Group within the Protein Sciences Department at Genentech. In this role, you will answer fundamental questions in membrane protein biology, focusing on the structural and functional mechanisms of transmembrane proteins, and their associated macromolecular signaling complexes
The Kschonsak Lab works on the biochemical and structural mechanisms of novel membrane proteins and their larger, endogenous signaling assemblies. We leverage a highly multidisciplinary approach—combining cryo-EM, endogenous purifications, and functional reconstitution—to understand how these complex systems operate across both recombinant and endogenous contexts.
In this role, you will have access to state-of-the-art structural biology and biophysical equipment and facilities. In addition, you will have opportunities to collaborate with other labs both within Genentech and in academia, and present your work at conferences.
