Full job description

What You'll Be Doing - Own and manage relationships across a defined portfolio of universities, serving as MISUMI's primary point of contact - Develop and maintain partnerships with professors, lab staff, and student organizations (e.g., robotics, Formula SAE, capstone teams) - Create and execute engagement plans for each institution, including workshops, curriculum integration, and project support - Drive sustained engagement by identifying new opportunities and expanding MISUMI presence within each university - Act as a trusted technical advisor on component selection, system design, and MISUMI tools - Track and report on university engagement, adoption, and relationship development outcomes - Build multi-level relationships within each institution to ensure long-term program continuity - All employees are expected to maintain and contribute to the QMS.

Required Qualifications and Desired Traits - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field - 2-5 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or design engineering - Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly - Experience working with student teams, academic programs, or training environments is a plus Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
