Certain positions at EnerSys Advanced Systems require access to information or technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other U.S. government security regulations. Candidates for these positions should be a "U.S. Person" under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a refugee/asylee) and/or otherwise comply with ITAR requirements for access rights to be considered for a position.

The Design Engineer supports all aspects of battery development and manufacture from concept, quotation, prototyping, detailed design, process development, validation, cost reduction, quality assurance, to qualification.

- Review customer requests for quotes (RFQs) and estimate engineering man-hours required to perform related tasks.

- Generate battery designs from customer supplied requirements such as power, energy, and size envelope specifications.

- Refine battery designs through prototype fabrication and testing.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
