About the team The Incident Command Systems team at Amazon is responsible for envisioning and building programs, which consistently improve remediation times for outages. This group consists of multiple 2-pizza teams (teams of 6-10 engineers) that each own software components for monitoring, anomaly detection of website degrading issues as well as incident management software used during these outages.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience - 7+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupational experience
Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience
Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership, or experience managing teams
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in web programming technologies such as Typescript, Java, Vue.js etc.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
Fluency with software architecture, design patterns, and agile development methodologies Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Incident Management, Threat Management, Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Crisis Management or a related field that involves conducting threat assessments, workplace investigations, and/or incident response
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud technology
