Full job description

Description: The Theater Strike Weapon Systems (TSWS) Production Program is looking for talented members to join the team. TSWS Production is responsible for producing end item products for the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Program.

The CPS team is looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer who wants to be a part of the team developing the Hypersonic program that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to conflict.

In this role your duties will include leading, planning, tracking, and managing the technical performance for multiple projects with the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Organization. The scope of these projects is broad to include test planning, preparation, and execution; hardware readiness management including product certification and end-item delivery; developing strategies and tracking hardware and personnel deployed across the program.

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leading and coordinating complex technical projects across multiple functional and support teams
  • Leading T&E proposal responses including internal kickoffs, attending program meeting to understand expectations and communicate those expectations to the TNE group, coordinate BoE responses, etc.
  • Creating strategies for the team to meet difficult schedule milestones with limited resources
  • Developing, implementing, and controlling demand planning processes related to material processes, and communicating demand across the team
  • Forecasting long- and short-term deliverables and communicating and coordinating with all stakeholders
  • Provide timely and accurate plans, status, and insights to stakeholders including team leaders, program management, and customers. Basic

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of project fundamentals and processes such as schedules, budgets, and/or risks
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship required Desired Skills:
  • Leadership experience on cross-functional technical effort(s)
  • Project lead experience with knowledge of program life-cycle
  • Detail oriented and excellent problem solving skills
  • Team player with strong communication skills and positive attitude
  • Desire to enhance Program Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, and building strong relationships
  • Desire to drive process efficiency and improvements in technical product lifecycle
  • Knowledge of JIRA or other agile planning tools

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
