Full job description

We are looking to hire a hard-working and experienced Seasonal BOH Team Lead to supervise all food preparation activities and ensure that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained. Practices proper product control, handling of inventory and equipment, and follows food safety/sanitation guidelines. What will you do? - The BOH Team Lead will manage and train employees in food safety, food production, guest relations, equipment use and maintenance. - Direct preparation of foods per recipes and standardized operating procedures, keep daily inventory and waste management records of food product and ensure quality control for food product served to guests. - Inspects locations and submits reports regarding cleanliness conditions, food quality, inventory and incidents. - Supervises, trains and motivates staff. - Will resolve conflicts and/or customer complaints, complete staff evaluations and address performance issues in a - timely manner. - Opens and closes concession stands and supervises employees throughout the length of the event. - Ensures that preparation areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner and in accordance with NYC Department of Health standards. - Participates in meetings as deemed necessary. - Ensures all safety rules and regulations are followed. - Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed? - Must be knowledgeable of various cooking techniques and have a passion for food. - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent organizational, communication and time management skills. - Should have at least 2-3 years of supervisory or lead experience in food service. - Must have New York City Food Protection Certificate along with previous experience in training, food and beverage sanitation requirements, equipment operation and liquor laws. - Food operations/service preferred in accordance with NYC Board of Health regulations. - Experience resolving inventory discrepancies. - Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and be people oriented. - Commitment to providing a high-quality service experience for guests from team and themselves. - Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment. - Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills necessary. - Ability to present an uplifting personality while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and business ethics. - Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values, and principles while ensuring the upmost consistency. - Skilled at working collaboratively and in a team environment. - Strong interpersonal skills.

Special

Requirements - This is a seasonal position that will be scheduled for the duration of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Potential to convert to part time regular role based on business needs and performance may be available. - This position is part-time and scheduled on an event driven basis. - Ability to lift up to 50lbs and pull up to 75lbs. - Must be receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures. - Must be able to work within an environment with loud noises and everchanging visuals. - Ability to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs while carrying equipment or supplies - Must be available to work a flexible schedule mostly nights and weekends, holidays required. - Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment. #LI- Onsite Pay Range $27 - $27 USD Hourly Pay Range $27 - $27 USD At MSG, we recognize the importance of upskilling employees' talents and strengths so they can drive their careers forward.
