This is a fully onsite role based at our Pleasanton, CA office. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.

You will be part of the fast-paced and multi-disciplinary Microarray Research Services Laboratory (MRSL) group. We process many customer samples primarily using genotyping technology and are committed to providing the highest data quality and the best customer experience. By bringing your organizational, analytical and communication skills, you will help drive important research with real-world impact.

You will be responsible for project management, data analysis, documentation, and deliverable preparation for the scientific services team’s customers for applications such as whole genome and/or targeting genotyping.

• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate smooth project progression and meet data delivery deadlines
• Respond to customer inquiries and proactively communicate project status to customers and sales team
• Learn and adapt to new tools and platforms and help troubleshoot issues on these systems
• Troubleshoot data quality concerns quickly and effectively to minimize impact on delivery timelines and costs
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders

B.S. in Computer Science or Bioinformatics or related field with 2+ years of experience

• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environment including shell scripting
• Knowledge of genomics technology is a plus, especially microarray
• Experience with R is a plus
• Experience with databases (especially PostgreSQL)- writing & optimizing queries, functions, views, triggers is a plus

• Excellent cross-discipline communication and writing skills
• Project management skills strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Data Visualization, interpretation of results
• Knowledge of genomics technology is a plus, especially microarray
• Familiarity with GIT and code usage best practices preferred

• Identify gaps and help develop plans to mitigate them
• A strongly pro-active, helpful, ‘can-do’ attitude
• Takes initiative and takes ownership of assigned tasks
• High accountability: proven track record of following through on commitments
• Self-managing and self-motivating, able to prioritize tasks and meet timelines and expectations

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.

Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $82,800.00–$95,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
