- Under the supervision of tenured systems engineering professionals, assist in fulfilling Digital Engineering (DE) processes and methods for enterprise-wide adoption based on industry best practices and trends.
- Examples of such processes and methods include: Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes applicable for systems engineering and analyses processes, development of digital thread framework, model portfolio development (e.g. standards for model integration and interoperability to include industrial partner models, meta-models, profiles, ontology, model repositories, modeling languages, and digital model libraries of reusable patterns and templates), model quality and review processes, and updating acquisition methods (e.g. developing DE-based data item descriptions).
- Apprentice to experienced Systems Engineering MBSE practitioners and support them in their effort to enable modernization of systems engineering and acquisition processes.
- Under supervision, deliver foundational digital engineering (DE) approaches that ensure the engineering and MS&A processes are met.
- Assist technical teams and leadership in the implementation of MBSE methods and techniques.
- Assist in developing and supporting enterprise level digital engineering approaches, ensuring that models, data, and information are accessible, interconnected, and structured to support organizational goals.
- Ensure that systems engineering and MS&A processes covered in the SOW requirements are followed.
- Support the federated modeling approach across the enterprise and mission partners.
- Adhere to the MBSE modeling methodology guidelines and principles established by the team.
- Ability to communicate modeling concepts and best practices to stakeholders at varying levels.
$82,000 - $102,000 USD annually
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

- Must possess a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 0 years of experience.
- Foundational understanding of systems engineering principles and familiarity with Digital Engineering (DE)/Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Basic understanding of data concepts and technologies such as relational databases, ontology, Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
- Masters degree in Systems Engineering or relative field.
- Exposure to MBSE tools or coursework (e.g., SysML) is desired
- General awareness of digital industry trends such as Cloud/IaC, Data Analytics, DevSecOps, AWS and/or Azure, Containerization/micro-services
- Basic knowledge or academic exposure to satellite or space-based technologies
- Familiarity with Operations Research/Systems Analysis concepts
- Introductory knowledge of Digital Thread or Digital Twin concepts
- Willingness to learn and grow within systems engineering disciplines
