The Assembly, Integration, and Test Focus Factory at L3Harris is looking for a Test Engineer in the Vibration Lab. This position is to provide engineering services to a variety of technical problems of large scope and complexity associated with the design and test of highly complex optical sensing spaceflight hardware utilizing technical standards, principles, theories and concepts to develop and execute test plans and procedures.

This testing could be related to vibration, shock, acoustic, modal, or static load testing. A willingness and capacity to take on future functional leadership opportunities and/or proficiency with conducting shaker testing.

• Design, develop, and execute complex Vibration, Modal, and/or Static Load tests
• Analyze dynamic test requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Physically configure designed tests’ instrumentation and be able to troubleshoot any anomalies
• Self-starter who works with limited supervision once acclimated to role

• Able to support multiple projects in various stages of readiness
• Strong communicator: written and verbal communication is a must within and outside of function
• Ability to effectively develop and execute procedures and document results
• Willing to work overtime, shift work (nights) or extended shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
• Willing and able to work in a clean room environment, up to and including full clean room suit
• Proficient with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

• Active security clearance: Top Secret / SCI with polygraph
• Experience with high reliability, aerospace products test and verification
• Experience with AeroPro FlexTest, FlexDAQ systems
• Experience with DataPhysics or Siemens software
• Experience with vibration control systems
• Experience working in a clean room environment with electrostatic considerations for sensitive hardware
• Experience with being a functional team leader and/or integrated product team lead

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $88,500 - $164,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
