Staff Software Engineer, Test Software

WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Architect a platform that enables a single test case to run seamlessly across both physical Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and virtual Software in the Loop (SIL) benches - Contribute to the requirements definition, and downselection of HIL/SIL tooling alternatives - Develop intuitive user interfaces that enable cross-functional engineering teams to interact efficiently with the platform - Design robust device drivers to ensure precise control and communication within the HIL system. - Scale the SIL cloud infrastructure to support advanced battery simulations - Troubleshoot complex electrical and software systems, utilizing schematics and test equipment to isolate platform-level issues WHAT YOU'LL BRING: - Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent - 7+ years in software engineering, with a proven track record of building HIL/SIL platforms or similar platforms at the interface of hardware and software - Proficiency with python, with a background in object-oriented design and software architecture principles - Strong electrical engineering foundations, including the ability to read electrical schematics, debug physical hardware, and work comfortably with low-level device drivers. - Familiarity working with embedded communication protocols, such as CAN, SPI, and UART #LI-Onsite Humanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy's culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that.
