Full job description

As a Compliance Engineer/Technologist, you will be an integral team member of a critical business function and a rapidly expanding discipline. This role will be responsible for executing strategic, proactive enterprise-wide activities to achieve and maintain material compliance with global regulations. This will require regulatory interpretation, data management, documentation, and cross functional work for products and materials.

  • Execute compliance activities related to regulations such as Prop65, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS
  • Evaluate BOMs and materials for compliance status and risk
  • Support lifecycle compliance for new product development and sustaining products
  • Interpret and apply global regulations to products, components, and suppliers
  • Prepare compliance documentation, reports, and declarations for internal and external use
  • Monitor and track regulatory changes and assess potential impacts
  • Coordinate with suppliers, labs, and regulatory bodies for compliance verification
  • Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and quality teams to resolve basic compliance issues
  • Perform special projects and other duties as needed
  • Working knowledge of materials regulations
  • Ability to interpret regulatory frameworks and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Chemical, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline; or equivalent in experience
  • 2-5+ years of related work experience in compliance testing, regulatory compliance, sustainability, or environmental science-related field

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $74,000 to $92,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
