Kiewit is seeking experienced Fiber Field Engineers to support the execution of large-scale fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality installation, accurate documentation, and seamless coordination between field teams and project leadership.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on field experience in fiber construction environments, with a strong understanding of fiber systems, installation standards, and construction workflows. This is a high-visibility role that works closely with superintendents, project engineers, and project managers to drive productivity, quality, and successful project delivery.

- Support day-to-day fiber installation activities in active construction environments

- Coordinate directly with field supervision, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure alignment and execution of work plans

- Monitor and track production progress, identifying risks or delays and communicating updates to leadership

- Perform and support QA/QC inspections to ensure work meets project specifications, standards, and client requirements

- Verify installation of fiber infrastructure including pathways, cabinets, patch panels, splice enclosures, and labeling systems

- Assist in resolving field issues and ensuring corrective actions are implemented

- Maintain accurate redline drawings and markups reflecting field changes

- Support development of as-built documentation and turnover packages

- Track and maintain project logs including production reports, installation status, and issue tracking

- Assist with RFIs, submittals, and coordination with design teams

- Track and manage material deliveries, usage, and inventory to ensure project continuity

- Support field engineering efforts in planning, sequencing, and execution

- 3+ years of experience in field engineering or construction support (telecommunications/fiber preferred)

- Hands-on experience with fiber installation projects in field construction environments

- Strong understanding of fiber optic systems and infrastructure including:

- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Experience on large-scale telecom, data center, or infrastructure projects

- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and BIM tools

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
