Traveling Project Engineer - Utility Scale Renewable Energy

Barton Malow Company is seeking Traveling Project Engineers to join our team on solar & wind projects throughout the Great Lakes Region. These positions will report to our teams in Southfield, MI and Grandville, MI. This role involves planning, developing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring onsite construction engineering activities for projects.

The Project Engineer will act as a liaison with architects, engineers, and owners regarding project progress and changes, ensuring seamless communication and execution.

- Provide technical support for resolution and tracking of project issues.

- Support Procurement in the distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders.

- Receive and review/evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change orders.

- Manage plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities.

- 4-year engineering, construction management or related degree.

- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.

- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to be self-directed in problem-solving.

- Must be willing and able to travel reguarly across the Great Lakes Region to project sites.
