Machine Operators (Team Members) function as an expert member of a manufacturing area team responsible for the efficient production of quality products.
What are we looking for?
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent education - 1+ years' experience in manufacturing - Proficiency in software systems including MS Office and e-mail
- Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. - Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs) - Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping. - Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces. - Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours - Capable of working in non-climate-controlled areas including hot, cold and wet conditions. - Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
- Technical degree or certifications - 2+ years experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines - Ability to operate a forklift - Knowledge of inventory control principles
- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management system
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
- Performs activities and job tasks within a manufacturing line or area - Operates equipment and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner - Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level - Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting - Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM) - Performs quality control (QC) tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, etc. - Maintain accurate records of quality check and keeps detailed logbooks - Any ad hoc tasks
