Definition Under general supervision, the Professional Expert provides assistance and support in accordance with assignments and directions from the supervisor.
Non-academic, non-classified short-term employees are at-will employees and have no entitlement rights to any position in the District. DUTIES: Assists the Supervisor with all phases of a project.
Works directly with the Supervisor in the development and coordination of the project budget, delivery expectations, and tracking the status of project expectations and results.
May assist or work directly as the liaison with vendors, contractors, and outside agencies to ensure contractual obligations are met. Provides feedback to the supervisor related to project timeline, delivery, reporting and expectations.
Assists with determining the allocation of resources (including department staff and hourly employees) in an efficient manner.
Qualifications and Physical Demands Qualifications and Physical Demands Education and Experience: Level I - Work experience and/or training in related job category is required, including valid licenses and/or certifications, if applicable.
Level II - Extensive work experience and/or training that is directly related to job category is required, including valid licenses and/or certifications, if applicable.
Conditions of Employment This is a professional expert position. The District reserves the right to extend, modify, or eliminate this position based upon available funds.
The effective dates of employment will be arranged with the supervisor. This is a recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill temporary/short-term assignments on an as-needed basis.
Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary/short-term assignments as the need arises. Applications will remain in the pool for one year.
