About the job

The consumer marketing team supports growth of KeyBank’s consumer product suite by developing strategic marketing programs aligned to business goals and objectives, while maintaining responsibility for marketing operations, risk and control management, and procedures. This Senior Marketing Consultant role is dedicated solely to the planning, execution, governance, and ongoing optimization of rate offer marketing initiatives specific to deposit products.

The role serves as the primary marketing lead for deposit campaigns deploying rate offers, partnering closely with product, analytics, compliance, creative, operations, and leadership teams to ensure offers are executed accurately, responsibly, and in alignment with business priorities.

Essential job functions
  • Serves as the dedicated marketing lead for deposit led, rate offer initiatives, with accountability for campaign strategy, execution, governance, and ongoing optimizations.
  • Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgment, and maintain accountability for priorities, decisions, and outcomes
  • Uses marketing principles, customer insights, prior campaign results, and offer performance learnings to recommend strategies that support business objectives and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Develops, maintains, and obtains approval on marketing project briefs specific to rate offers.
  • Partners with product and analytics teams to define offer objectives, eligibility criteria, audience segmentation, timing, test plans, measurement approach, and performance expectations.
  • Reviews creative treatments to ensure messaging accurately reflects the approved rate offer, eligibility requirements, disclosures, and customer experience.
  • Coordinates with product, analytics, creative services, agency, compliance, operations, and leadership partners to develop and execute effective marketing plans.
  • Manages end-to-end planning and execution while adhering to established procedures, controls, approval requirements, and risk management expectations.
  • Recognizes, manages, and escalates risks related to offer accuracy, customer eligibility, disclosure requirements, execution timing, operational readiness, and control environment.
  • Provides timely communication to team members, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment of priorities, risks, timelines, performance, and key decisions.
  • Leads team sessions related to planning, execution readiness, issue resolution, post-campaign learnings, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identifies opportunities to delegate work to team members while maintaining ownership of campaign outcomes.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, advertising agency or project management
  • Knowledge of managing the end-to-end marketing campaign process
  • Technology mindset with the ability to leverage marketing platforms, data, automation, and process tools to improve campaign execution, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
  • Experience with compliance and risk management

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.

Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
