We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) who is ready to step into a true leadership role—leading teams, influencing direction, and helping grow a high-performing electrical practice for our buildings engineering team in Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL.

What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll operate at both a technical and leadership level, with a strong emphasis on team development and client engagement: Lead and manage an electrical engineering group, supporting team growth and performance Serve as Engineer of Record and provide technical oversight across complex projects Drive project delivery as a Project Engineer and/or Project Manager across aviation, federal, healthcare, and commercial sectors Partner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers, helping shape the next generation of talent Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor Contribute to strategic growth initiatives, including hiring and team expansion Support projects from concept through construction, including coordination and quality control What You Bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (accredited program) Professional Engineer (PE) license required 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering (building systems preferred) Proven experience leading projects, teams, or both Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable codes Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior staff Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience Ability to operate both strategically and technically Nice to Have: Experience with Revit Background in aviation, healthcare, federal, or large-scale commercial projects Interest in business development or practice growth Why This Role Stands Out Leadership-first opportunity: Step into a role where you’re leading people—not just producing design Real impact: Help shape and grow a team while influencing project direction Diverse, high-visibility work: From aviation terminal expansions to healthcare and national commercial programs Clear path forward: Positioned for continued leadership growth within the organization Why RS&H?
