Our Advanced Electro-Optical (AEO) Systems Engineering group has an upcoming opportunity for a Systems Engineer with expertise in airborne electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) surveillance and targeting sensor systems. You will be a key contributor joining a dynamic system engineering team on a high-profile program developing the next generation of airborne advanced Electro-Optical systems.

Responsibilities will include performing Systems Engineering tasks such as: 1) Writing, reviewing, and managing system and software requirements specification, 2) Preparing Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs). You will execute the Integration Verification & Validation (IV&V) content for the E/O system.

This role spans from planning activities through system delivery or test demonstration. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills. *** This is a pipeline requisition for future program work in Summer 2022 - If you meet the qualifications for this opportunity a Recruiter will be in contact.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Systems Engineering (or a related field such as optical engineering, electrical engineering, applied physics, etc.) with prior E/O systems experience, to include System Modeling; requirement management tools (e.g. DOORS/DOORS Next Gen) with requirements generation and flow down in a connected framework.
  • Familiarity with software requirements management and specification documents such as Software Requirements Specification (SRS).
  • Experience developing IV&V procedures based on the test plans, test requirements, final product design and the specific test assets to be use; maintaining and managing external and internal specifications; maintaining and managing a Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM).
  • Experience verifying configurations of the System under test, test assets, test procedures and reduction/analysis tools are documented and captured; ensuring that all tests are completed in accordance with the contract, test procedures, standard processes, and applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal, and presentation) to effectively communicate with all internal / external stakeholders.
