Experience: 10+ years
As the Director, Revenue Accounting, you’ll own one of the most critical areas of financial reporting for a rapidly growing healthcare company. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, build scalable revenue processes, and lead a team that ensures accurate reporting under ASC 606. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on strategic decisions, operational execution, and external reporting.
- Lead all aspects of revenue accounting, including month-end close, analysis and reporting, controls considerations and technical accounting under ASC 606.
- Oversee contract review for revenue recognition implications.
- Lead and mentor a team of two revenue accountants, providing coaching and professional development.
- Partner with Strategic Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Operations to support accurate forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and controls to support scale and operational excellence.
- Assist the Accounting team as needed with ad hoc tasks and projects
- Become a subject matter expert in Virta’s business model, revenue streams, and contracts.
- Develop strong working relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders (Strategic Finance, Legal, Commercial, Operations).
- Assess current systems and processes and propose improvements for scalability and accuracy.
- Take ownership of the revenue reporting process and implement improvements on revenue reporting.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and industry, with at least 3+ years focused on revenue accounting
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing teams and developing talent
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable processes and controls
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $175,088-$200,100.
