  • Develop and coordinate site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, storm and sewer profiles, and related drawing packages.
  • Design grading and drainage systems that shape land elevations to direct stormwater safely to inlets, detention, or retention facilities and protect sites from flooding.
  • Support access and circulation design for roadways, drive aisles, parking lots, sidewalks, and pedestrian connections to promote safe and efficient vehicle and foot traffic.
  • Assist with building orientation and site layout to support project goals such as functionality, visibility, sunlight exposure, and overall site efficiency.
  • Map and coordinate utility connections for water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, gas, and electric service in accordance with project requirements and agency standards.
  • Help ensure plans comply with zoning regulations, local development codes, permitting requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Perform earthwork analysis, quantity takeoffs, and cut/fill calculations based on existing and proposed topography.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with company drafting and design standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to maintain design consistency, manage revisions, and meet project schedules.
  • Organize and maintain project files, drawing revisions, plot files, and related documentation.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred; technical degree or drafting certification is a plus.
  • Experience in site development or civil site design drafting.
  • Experience preparing site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility layouts, and related civil design documents.
  • Working knowledge of digital terrain modeling, earthwork analysis, and construction control concepts such as alignments, stationing, and control points.
  • Understanding of zoning requirements, permitting considerations, and applicable local design standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review work for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, adapt in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
