Full job description

True Anomaly is seeking a talented and driven Electrical Engineer II to support the rapid design, development, and testing of high-reliability electrical systems for our spacecraft programs. In this role, you will execute across the full hardware development lifecycle — from requirements capture and schematic design through bring-up, integration, and production — while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams.

You will bring hands-on technical depth, a strong sense of ownership, and the initiative to contribute meaningfully from day one.

  • Execute requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and test for electrical designs
  • Support the rapid design, development, and testing of high-reliability electrical systems for spacecraft engineering and development efforts
  • Collaborate with system architecture development across cross-functional teams
  • Participate in preliminary and critical design reviews to support program requirements
  • Support system-level integration of electrical subsystems, including hardware and software interfaces
  • Perform first article testing, unit-level testing, and production testing
  • Contribute to the development and execution of validation and qualification testing campaigns to ensure reliable hardware
  • Develop and maintain documentation for electrical systems and components, including design specifications, test plans, and operating procedures
  • Support hardware through production, integration, and launch
  • Collaborate with experts from other teams and departments to improve system efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability, and to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and quality assurance processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical engineering processes and practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in electrical engineering
  • Proficiency with PCB design in Altium Designer or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards including PCB and PCBA design
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with spacecraft electrical system design and testing
  • Familiarity with spacecraft power systems, avionics, and communication subsystems
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to spacecraft electrical systems
  • Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and Simulink
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and specifications including IPC-610, IPC J-STD-001, and other relevant PCB design and assembly standards
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment or a similarly dynamic setting
  • Work Location —this role will be onsite at our Centennial, CO location , with travel to other sites as needed.
