responsibilities:</strong></p><p></p><p>The Journeyman Electrician will provide leadership, efficient installation of electrical work, training, and quality control.

The Journeyman may also be responsible for the development of apprentices assigned to them. </p><p></p><p><strong>

Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Take lead to delegate tasks &amp; train craftworkers, ensuring effective communication regarding work plans and smooth operations.</li><li>Demonstrate initiative, supporting team success and safety.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. </li><li>Utilize hand and power tools to measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire and cable systems, conduits, and raceways.</li><li>Feed, pull, and terminate wires within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, and switches.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues and prepare sketches and schematic diagrams.

Take ownership and anticipate needs.</li><li>Maintain high workmanship standards, ensuring quality and efficiency; effort and initiative directly reflect in project and personal success.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li> Must posses a current and valid Texas Journeyman Certification </li><ul><li> <em>NOTE:</em> Include your Certification Number when applying</li></ul><li>Install, repair,&nbsp;maintain, and test commercial, industrial and residential electrical systems&nbsp;</li><li>Use industry related hand tools and power tools&nbsp;</li><li>Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems,&nbsp;conduit&nbsp;systems&nbsp;and other wire raceway systems.&nbsp;</li><li>Splice and&nbsp;terminate&nbsp;wires at junction points&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems&nbsp;</li><li>Delegate tasks and&nbsp;assist&nbsp;with training other employees&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members&nbsp;</li><li>Adhere to all Royal Electric Company safety procedures and protocols&nbsp;</li></ul><p></p><p>Special Considerations:</p><ul><li>Commercial/Industrial Project Experience Preferred</li><li>Underground Utility Experience Preferred</li><li>Willingness to work night shifts and/or overtime </li></ul><h3>Safety Requirements</h3><ul><li>Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites. </li><li>Must comply with all safety standards and procedures</li><li><strong>Work Environment</strong></li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. </li><li>The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. </li><li>The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. </li><li>The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.</li><li><strong>Physical Demands</strong></li><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. </li><li>The position walks and stands for long periods of time, may require climbing / working from ladders or stairs, MEWPs to reach elevations, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. </li><li>The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects up to 75 pounds; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support overtime without fatigue. </li><li>Tasks often may require bending/stooping, twisting, reaching at all levels, squatting and occasional kneeling and crawling. </li><li>The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. </li><li>The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. </li><li>The employee must have excellent stamina.</li></ul><p><strong>Salary Range: </strong></p><ul><li>$35.00/hour - $45.00/hour</li><ul><li> <em>Note: </em>This is a Private Base Rate.

This position is Prevailing Wage/Davis Bacon Eligible depending on project assignment.
