From fundamental physics to leading edge commercial products, Infleqtion enables “quantum everywhere” through our ecosystem of devices and platforms.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Infleqtion is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of advanced Quantum RF (QRF) sensing systems.&nbsp;</p><p>This role focuses on designing and implementing the&nbsp;gateware, software, and hardware to enable opto-electrical control systems for our quantum sensing solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with a cross-functional team of software engineers, opto-mechanical engineers, and physicists to develop unique control algorithms and complex data processing tools. You will be part of a purpose-built team to bring quantum systems from lab environments to field demonstrations.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Design, develop, and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;embedded software and&nbsp;gateware&nbsp;for control of QRF systems and subsystems&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Key contributor towards developing control system architectures for future quantum sensors&nbsp;</li><li>Subsystem integration into quantum systems, including verification, validation, and debugging&nbsp;</li><li>Deploy high test coverage and fully&nbsp;leverage&nbsp;our CI pipelines and hardware test beds to have confidence that your designs will work as expected&nbsp;</li><li>Develop programmable logic and low-level CPU interfaces to control integrated systems and peripherals including quantum sensors, magnetic field controllers, and lasers&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Create test scripts to&nbsp;validate&nbsp;subsystems and components of integrated systems&nbsp;</li><li>Support board bring-up and debugging efforts, providing feedback to design teams.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, and physics teams to ensure successful system integration and deliver high-performance real time embedded systems&nbsp;</li><li>Support applications and demo teams by improving system usability and reliability&nbsp;</li><li>Operate&nbsp;and interface with a range of electrical and optical lab test equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Working with Rust firmware engineers to define architecture and drivers&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>4+ years of experience in embedded systems, FPGA development, or mixed signal design&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with one two following areas,&nbsp;proficiency&nbsp;in both areas preferred:&nbsp;</li><li>Embedded system development in Rust.

If you have relevant&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;but with C/C++, you may still be successful in this role if you have interest in Rust and have some idea of how Rust can be used to rapidly develop safe and performant systems&nbsp;</li><li>FPGA development in any HDL with experience in RF synthesis. Whether you like to work in Verilog/VHDL or bleeding-edge languages like&nbsp;SpinalHDL,&nbsp;nMigen, or&nbsp;MyHDL&nbsp;</li><li>Experience interfacing with hardware (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, etc.)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Strong debugging skills across hardware and software boundaries&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with common benchtop test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies&nbsp;</li><li>This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
