  • Denver, Colorado Across The Western United States Region supporting Federal dam safety oversight and training program within the DOI Bureau of Reclamation focused on operational safety and infrastructure resilience. We seek Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Co-Instructor) | Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum [DOI0011010] candidates with relevant Government And Public Services Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Government And Public Services Sector Clients such as DOI. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Co-Instructor) | Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum [DOI0011010]
  • Leads development of training content on embankment dam behavior, seepage, and stability. Provides field instruction on geotechnical inspection, instrumentation, and potential failure modes. Supports technical analysis and field practicum exercises. Explains embankment behavior, seepage, and stability so operators detect anomalies early. Develop modules on embankment Dams, foundations, seepage, drains, slope stability cues; create field observation guides; review PFMs; advise on instrumentation interpretation basics (piezometers/inclinometers).

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Co-Instructor) | Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum [DOI0011010] (DOI0011010) Candidates: 10+ years geotechnical engineering of embankment Dams; forensic/diagnostics experience desirable; prior work with FAC 0107/0108 programs.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

  • BSCE with geotech emphasis; MS Geotechnical preferred; PE/GE license required (where applicable).
  • 10+ years geotechnical engineering of embankment Dams; forensic/diagnostics experience desirable; prior work with FAC 0107/0108 programs.
  • This position aligns with functional and technical requirements in the Government And Public Services Sector and Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Co-Instructor) Candidates principally support Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Disciplines. Skills Required
  • Primarily focused on Management and Financial Consulting, Acquisition and Grants Management Support, and Business Program and Project Management Services initiatives and aligned with Training activities Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum Functional Area Activities.
  • Soil mechanics, seepage analysis, instrumentation basics, construction observation, case-history synthesis, training delivery. Competencies Required

  • Provides quick-reference inspection cues cards for operators.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of our work, the individuals who will be actively completing work on this contract or reviewing documents related to our operations must either be cleared (Secret Fcl / Top Secret Fcl) or be able to obtain and maintain a clearance. All personnel must possess an active Secret clearance with eligibility for Interim TS/SCI or a full TS/SCI clearance in DISS at the time of proposal submission and maintain it throughout the contract. Compliance with FAR 52.204-2 and DoD security requirements (DD Form 254, DD Form 441, and DoD 5220.22-M) is mandatory. Employees denied a Top Secret clearance after receiving an Interim TS will be restricted from contract duties, but this does not relieve ProSidian from performance obligations.
