ProSidian Seeks a Project Manager & Lead Technical Editor | Program Management | Technical Editing [WSU | ASCENT0009008] for Program Support on a Exempt 1099 Contract: No Overtime Pay Basis Contract Contingent generally located across the Pullman, WA Across The Pacific Northwest Region supporting WSU-ASCENT’s requirement to obtain professional, large-scale technical editing, copy editing, and proofreading services to produce a high-quality, consolidated annual research report.

We seek Project Manager & Lead Technical Editor | Program Management | Technical Editing [WSU | ASCENT0009008] candidates with relevant Education, And Academia Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Education, And Academia Sector Clients such as WSU | ASCENT.

This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Program Management | Technical Editing Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline Professional

  • Technical Editing | Academic Research Reporting Position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

Provide services and support as a Project Manager & Lead Technical Editor [Technical Editing | Academic Research Reporting] in the Education, And Academia Industry Sector focussing on Business Process Solutions for clients such as Washington State University -ASCENT (WSU-ASCENT) | Washington State University

  • Office of Research / ASCENT Program Office / Purchasing Services Generally Located In Pullman, WA and across the Pacific Northwest Region (Of Country/World).

Lead with clarity and precision to ensure complex scientific reporting is accurate, timely, and impactful.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Project Manager & Lead Technical Editor | Program Management | Technical Editing [WSU | ASCENT0009008]
  • Oversee project execution, lead technical editing, coordinate SME inputs, ensure quality assurance, manage timelines, and guide report production workflows.
  • The role(s) are located in the Pacific Northwest Region is at or near Pullman, WA. Initially identified Work Site Address (Subject to Change or Working Remotely): French Administration Building, Room 242, Attn: RFP #CC0220-JMC

Desired Qualifications For Project Manager & Lead Technical Editor | Program Management | Technical Editing [WSU | ASCENT0009008] (WSU | ASCENT0009008) Candidates:

  • 5–10+ years in project management and technical editing within academic, research, or government environments.
  • Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred in Technical Communication, Engineering, Environmental Science, Aviation, or related fields.
  • 5–10+ years in project management and technical editing within academic, research, or government environments.
  • This position aligns with functional and technical requirements in the Education, And Academia Sector and Project Manager & Lead Technical Editor Candidates principally support Program Management | Technical Editing Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Disciplines.
  • Primarily focused on Document Preparation Services initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities Program Management | Technical Editing Functional Area Activities.
  • Technical editing, project management, cross-functional coordination, document production systems, research communication.
  • Leadership, analytical thinking, communication, attention to detail, stakeholder engagement, workflow oversight.
  • Ensures compliance with APA/Chicago style, federal reporting guidelines, and ASCENT formatting standards.
  • Supports annual reporting cycles, multi-university collaboration, and training material integration.
  • Serves as primary liaison between ProSidian, ASCENT research teams, and federal agency partners.
