Electrical Controls Engineer with experience managing mid to large scale projects.</strong></p><p><strong>If you are ready to work hard and get back to what you put in, then you are the right person for the job.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>You will create electrical schematics, will write PLC/HMI programs, and will participate in the debugging, testing, and commissioning of custom machinery that include motion systems, heaters, pumps, and automated hoists.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>

RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><ul> <li>Support sales proposals with conceptual electrical system configurations and projected engineering hours&nbsp;</li> <li>Create electrical schematics and panel layout diagrams in AutoCAD Electrical for in-house panel fabrication</li> <li>Select and specify electrical components best suited to each application</li> <li>Generate Bills of Materials and support sourcing of electrical componentry&nbsp;</li> <li>Generate well organized PLC and HMI code utilizing ladder logic, structured text, sequential function charting, function blocks, and/or instruction list methodologies</li> <li>Develop customer pleasing, well thought-out, HMI screens with intuitive navigation workflows that are attractive and consistent across production lines and customers.</li> <li>Debug electrical issues, optimize system functionality, and participate in factory acceptance testing</li> <li>Travel to customer sites and commission equipment</li> <li>Conduct investigations for service calls, troubleshoot equipment, and document root cause analyses and resolutions</li> <li>Train customers and fellow team members in the use of HMI screens and fine tuning of equipment</li> </ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li>BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or institution</li> <li>Ten years minimum experience and proven track record of creating and improving electrical and control systems for industrial machinery and automation</li> <li>Expert level knowledge in the application of low, medium, and high voltage industrial electrical systems and HMI control systems with remote IO and various sensors</li> <li>Thorough experience designing electrical control panels for turnkey industrial equipment</li> <li>High proficiency in programming Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI's to control pumps, heaters, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, conductivity, pH, etc.), rectifiers, etc.</li> <li>Ability to specify and configure VFDs, motor protectors, contactors, soft starts, and other motor interfacing devices</li> <li>Experience with motion control devices and programming</li> <li>Ability to produce accurate bills of materials aligned with schematics</li> <li>Proficiency with writing test plans and test reports, and running factory acceptance tests</li> <li>Advanced skill in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and PLC programs for automation</li> <li>Expert knowledge in the application of NEC codes &amp; UL-508 standards</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret P&amp;IDs</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for electrical schematics, panel layouts, and BOM creation</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Word to develop operation and maintenance manuals</li> <li>Skill with calculations in Microsoft Excel</li> <li>Effective writing, speaking and presentation skills&nbsp;</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Competitive Salary, Incentive Program, Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays</p><p></p><p></p>
