R5: Project Manager / Project Engineer

Or, are you a mid-career construction management professional looking for the next big opportunity?</p><p>Have you built significant experience in construction projects and are looking to expand your skill set?</p><p>Essel is looking for construction Project Managers / Project Engineers with experience managing mid to large scale projects.</p><p>The Project Manager / Project Engineer could lead multiple projects in the following sectors:</p><ul> <li>Multi Family</li> <li>Ground Ups</li> <li>Tentative Improvements</li> <li>Colleges / Universities</li> <li>K-12 Construction w/ DSA oversight</li> <li>Misc. specialized sectors (OSHPD, etc.)</li> </ul><p>Duties will include but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Review plans and specs to ensure accuracy, prepare General Conditions, and establish baseline schedules for each subcontractor or self-performing team</li></ul><ul> <li>Track project costs and complete project all change management, RFIs, and owner pay applications</li> <li>Oversee shop drawings and submittals, write subcontracts and purchase orders for projects, manage subcontractor relationships and conduct regular jobsite coordination meetings</li> <li>Manage client relationships and provide ongoing communication throughout the project</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in K-12 / College / University sectors</li> <li>Experience with DSA oversight / managed projects</li> <li>Professional Degree in construction management, architecture or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction tech, interior design, business administration) is preferred</li> <li>Ability to negotiate, write and execute all subcontract agreements</li> <li>Strong communications skills, both written and verbal</li> <li>Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and Procore</li> <li>Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery method</li> <li>Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service</li> <li>A valid Driver’s License</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Industry competitive benefits</p>
