Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer II in San Mateo, CA to develop and maintain high-quality applications and services, ensuring they are production-ready and meet performance standards.
- Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent and two (2) years of experience developing client-side applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Redux for scalable UI architecture and modular design; maintaining source control and collaborative development workflows using Git, including creating, reviewing, and merging pull requests; implementing front-end performance optimization techniques including lazy loading and caching strategies to improve speed and responsiveness; participating in Agile software development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and iterative releases; refining technical requirements and assessing implementation feasibility; applying JavaScript best practices to ensure maintainable, testable, and efficient code across web and mobile platforms; writing and maintaining responsive CSS that complies with WCAG accessibility standards and ensuring consistent user experience across devices; utilizing GraphQL to integrate frontend components with middleware and backend services; developing backend components and server logic using Node.js, including integrating APIs and handling middleware logic; and using Docker to build, deploy, and manage containerized applications in development and integration environments.
