Responsibilities include data entry, rating of commercial auto policies, and file management/organization. The position involves extensive independent work.

A Day in the Life as an Underwriting Assistant: Submissions for new coverage will come to you, and you will be charged with extensive searching of our database to ascertain whether the submission is new and unique and then log the submission to the right agent and team.

Other duties include organizing a file with supporting documentation in preparation for accurate policy issuance and data entry to prepare a file for underwriting, all per established underwriting procedures.

You work within a structure that encourages collaboration and thoroughness to get the job done as accurately as possible.

Requirements include: 2-year college degree (4-year preferred) in a relevant field.

Ability to prioritize multiple duties and organize data to enable timely and accurate data processing. Excellent communication skills. Prior Insurance experience preferred.
