About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The Team: The M&A and Business Growth team is responsible for guiding the overall strategy of the Market Intelligence division of S&P Global. In addition to setting long-term strategic ambitions for the division, the team leads acquisitions and divestitures, strategic partnerships, portfolio management, growth initiatives and competitive intelligence.

The team also partners closely with Finance and business stakeholders on long-term financial planning. This small, nimble team is responsible for evaluating all significant new investments for Market Intelligence and defining the requirements for delivering future growth coupled with large-scale business transformation initiatives aimed at optimizing portfolio strategy and improving business profitability and productivity.

Responsibilities and Impact: Partner with business leaders across the division to shape and execute MI's strategy. Report to the Head of Business Development & Portfolio Optimization, while supporting a diverse set of transactional (i.e. M&A, divestiture), portfolio (i.e. turnaround, optimization), and strategy-related projects in accordance with the division's top priorities across our products.

Inform and influence high impact decisions by the division's top leadership, including the President, CFO, and Head of Strategy. Drive and support a diverse set of business and corporate development-related activities ranging from acquisitions (M&A), venture investing, and partnerships in support of divisional growth priorities Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Enterprise Corp Dev, Finance, Legal, Technology) to support the end-to-end transaction process (i.e. initial assessments, due diligence, valuation, and synergy case creation) Drive divisional portfolio strategy by evaluating our products across a range of financial and strategic metrics, market fit and industry outlook; and support with various divestiture, turnaround, and sunset projects Deliver on strategy-related projects for our Enterprise Solutions business line, including growth strategy, product profitability analysis, preparation of business cases, and validation of white space opportunities.

Champion a data-driven, hypothesis-led approach to strategic decision-making across the enterprise. Support the creation of materials for strategic meetings, including Board meetings, Strategic Business Reviews, and quarterly earnings preparation.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. What We're Looking For: Basic Required

Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience within investment banking, management consulting, corporate development or corporate strategy. Skilled at communicating strategic narratives clearly and simply in PowerPoint. Strong slide design capabilities and exceptional attention to detail required.

Self-motivated worker with experience developing organic and inorganic business strategies and financial models with modest manager guidance. Expertise in analyzing financial results, including historical detailed revenue and expense due diligence to build out of flexible forward-looking financial models in Excel. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Collaborative team player with effective written and verbal communication skills Interested and aware of market trends with the ability to explain how events impact our business. Proactive, with an innate sense of urgency and accountability; able to deliver results with short lead-times Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent); major in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.

Location: This role requires that you spend 2-3 days a week working from a S&P Global office location. Right to Work

Requirements: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
