Senior Principal Mechanical Architect

we are looking for with this role:

- Shape the future product roadmap by providing mechanical and thermal engineering expertise, guiding the architecture of next-generation mobile commercial products

- Evaluate features, performance, and cost trade-offs to drive optimized product design decisions that meet business and customer objectives

- Partner with marketing, design, and cross-functional teams to identify emerging technologies, develop proof-of-concepts, and ensure implementation readiness

- Lead the incubation, development, prototyping, and promotion of innovative mechanical concepts and designs that align with customer and market requirements

- Engage and influence ODMs and technology partners to solve complex challenges, translate customer needs into solutions, and generate intellectual property (IP) that protects innovation and competitive advantage

- Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 8+ years with a Master's degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

- Ability to assess and optimize the tradeoffs between thermal, mechanical, and electrical features

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $199,750 - $258,500.
