News Editor/Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION Fox News 32 is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and creative Per Diem Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, solution-oriented, and a team player, with the flexibility to work various shifts on an as-needed basis, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and overnights.

The ability to shoot video is a plus but not required, along with a willingness to learn other broadcast-related skills. Key Responsibilities Create broadcast-quality content quickly in a live environment with a keen eye for detail. Transform raw video into news packages, features, and show opens.

Develop graphics that enhance the news story. Operate efficiently on non-linear edit platforms like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro. Prioritize assignments and adhere to strict deadlines.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in non-linear editing using Adobe Premiere Pro. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects; familiarity with iNews or similar newsroom applications.

Editorial Judgment: Proven news editorial judgment and broadcast experience. Soft Skills: Excellent time management and the ability to collaborate effectively with producers under pressure. Adaptability: Capable of taking direction, working independently, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Availability: Must have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts (weekends, holidays, and overnights) as required by the news cycle. Must have photojournalist knowledge.
