Full job description

Application, Infrastructure & Service Management (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, MA): Will work with business leads to implement strategic and tactical initiatives, will partner with technology, operations and other business partners to deliver products and infrastructure aligned with our strategic goals, regulatory requirements, will provide support across wide spectrum requirements, and will handle robust needs through evolving solutions.

Specific duties include: Providing technical solutions, according to established service levels for critical applications from State Street's proprietary platform; performing Incident management and problem management according to ITS standards; problem solving: performing and reviewing health checks, identifying and escalating trends; acting on all application-level alerts and assist with service restoration; partnering with business leaders to identify product, trading infrastructure and operating models necessary for the successful implementation of strategy and initiatives; translating business strategic vision into functional product plans; defining product features and developing product overviews, workflows and visual artifacts to crystalize product use, and process owners; managing technology and other business partner demand and helping resolve competing priorities; building strong relationships with business partners and ensuring they understand business needs to create robust and sustainable solutions.; resolving significant issues or roadblocks working with senior management across the bank as required; analyzing and monitoring performances to optimize software and systems; providing analytics and forecasts for cloud capacity, troubleshooting analysis, and uptime; reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business and user needs in order to recommend solutions and options; developing and executing projects and ensure appropriate resource allocations to meet changing needs and requirements; identifying and framing risks and issues as well as ensure their timely resolution or escalation; effectively communicating, collaborating and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders with varied interests; Incident & Problem Management: Troubleshooting & investigating.

Assisting with root cause analysis and remediation via review of logs & code logic; responsible for working on day-to-day customer issues, including technical assistance, using the best use of product, additional products, and services; performing continuous analysis of system activity and maintenance of the application proactively identify areas of improvement and concern; regularly communicating with the company's technical, creative & operations departments and interact with clients and technical partners ensuring the smooth functioning of projects; performing preliminary quality checks on the projects to eliminate errors or omissions; participating in the development of automated tools, processes, and methods meetings; collaborating with senior developers to conduct design and code reviews; responsible for meeting the deadlines in completing the project, considering the importance of shipping the project on time; strong experience in writing and updating technical documents daily with the changes made to the existing environment daily; and handling complex Oracle SQL queries for efficient Oracle DB Searches during production support issues and perform various tests on the complex Java programs for manual activities automation.

Hybrid remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy. Minimum

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field and 5 years of industry experience. Must also have: demonstrated success executing projects and business portfolios within complex organizational settings; demonstrated solid ability to interact, negotiate and influence at all levels of management and across the organization; proven outstanding organizational, analytical and consultative abilities; proven experience and solid ability in retrieving and manipulating data from backend using Database (Tandem, DB2, Oracle, and/or Exadata) SQL queries, PL/SQL- Stored Procedures, Functions, Sequences, Triggers, Views, and Packages; proven problem solving capabilities to perform and review health checks, identify and escalate trends, to act on all application-level alerts and assist with service restoration; demonstrated solid ability with Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Jira, Service now, Autosys, MQ, Programming Languages Java, and SQL and Operating Systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX; proven Incident & Problem Management capabilities including troubleshooting and investigating, assisting with root cause analysis and remediation via review of logs and code logic; and proven ability to work on day-to-day customer issues, including technical assistance, using the best use of product, additional products, and services.
