Principal Systems Engineer I&T Technical Lead supporting Integration and Test efforts in the G/ATOR program family, based out of our portfolio in the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) Division. This position is an on-site, primarily 1st shift position, and will be located in Baltimore, Maryland. Note that the scope for this role requires supporting outdoor test efforts during multiple shifts; candidates must be flexible to support testing in evenings and on weekends at times when the program schedules require it.

This position is a full-time on-site position, and will be located in the Linthicum, Maryland area. This position at times will require support on 2nd shift and weekends. Role

Responsibilities: Systems Bench Technical Lead for I&T efforts Integrate, troubleshoot, and test RF sensor systems Lead troubleshooting strategies and execution for system test Support integration / lab environment development and establishment Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams to understand expected unit level and system level behavior, and ensure testing is producing expected data points Support the development and maintenance of system integration plans and system test plans This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below This requisition may be filled at either a Level 3 or a Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

U.S. Citizenship & Active DoD Secret Clearance Ability to drive and lead program technical tasks for a team of engineers Strong ability to communicate cross-functionally Ability to support multiple shifts (i.e. 2nd shift, weekends) when test schedule demands it Ability to support an indoor / outdoor test environment Experience with RF lab test equipment: signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.

Experience troubleshooting and resolving HW/SW/FW integration problems Ability to read schematics and system diagrams Solid verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of RF systems and hardware Self-motivated and can take ownership on tasks Hands on integration and test experience Ability to work onsite in Baltimore, MD Basic Qualifications for a Sr.

Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 2 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. U.S. Citizenship & Active DoD Secret Clearance Ability to drive and lead program technical tasks for a team of engineers Strong ability to communicate cross-functionally Ability to support multiple shifts (i.e.

Qualifications: Experience leading technical teams Experience supporting and resolving complex technical problems Knowledge and experience with ground radars and AESA radar development, design, test Experience with the G/ATOR program and/or Land & Maritime Sensors (LMS) programs Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including requirements analysis and verification planning and execution Ability to motivate and drive teams to meet goals Knowledge and experience with antenna or subsystem control design, test, measurements Experience with test scripting, data analysis, and/or signal processing Experience working in a fast-paced production environment Multi-disciplinary engineering experience and exposure (Software/Digital, Hardware, Electrical, Systems) Master's degree in STEM or technical leadership Experience supporting USMC and/or USAF customer This position is contingent upon successful transfer of Secret Clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
