From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
As an accounting principal on the Global Lease Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of an incredible team that supports our global lease portfolio. This role will support accounting close and financial reporting activities, develop reporting and analyses to maintain accuracy of the financial statements and support business partners, implement and document new and current accounting processes, and review deliverables to support SEC filings.
You will collaborate with teams across Starbucks to help grow our existing business and support new initiatives as well as prepare and review quarterly financial reporting deliverables.
This partner will be responsible for overseeing the accounting activities and analysis needed to support our internal and external financial reporting requirements, including several financial statement footnotes, as well as act as an accounting subject-matter expert, leading occupancy-related projects from the accounting lens and providing business partners with clear and consistent accounting guidance and education.
This role has no direct reports, but a successful partner is comfortable leading partners at various levels on the team, reviewing the work of other partners, and providing informal coaching and feedback.
