Full job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations and shall accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results while ensuring the safety of all personnel working in or around department on all assigned shifts.

- Responsible for directing, organizing and planning all day-to-day aspects of production.

- Responsible for meeting or exceeding production goals including production output, safety, on time delivery, and people initiatives.

- Provide leadership, direction and motivation to people under his supervision.

- Conducts training, completes performance appraisals and initiates timely corrective action.

- Schedule and/or approve overtime, time-off requests, and daily timecards.

- Direct implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing) including 5S, standardize work, work balance and product flow.

- Conducts regular operational audits to ensure that safety, quality, production, and housekeeping practices are followed as required

- Identify, develop, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

- Monitor area performance and implement all required corrective action and solve problems to the root to prevent recurrence.

- Support the Operations Manager in meeting department goals and objectives.

- Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment and ensures all environmental & safety policies are followed.

- Effectively communicating with others within and outside the workgroup.

- Ability to read and react to verbal and non-verbal communication while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

BASIC

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
  • Must be available to work all shifts and weekends / holidays as required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Supervisory experience with manufacturing and/or plant environment.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills (written, verbal and non- verbal), ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Must work well in a team environment and commit to continuous improvement. Essential Functions:
