The Maintenance Manager assists maintenance leadership in planning, managing, directing and controlling all aspects of maintenance and construction. This position is also responsible for managing expenses, labor and budgets, purchasing, and receiving for the maintenance department.
· This role will be based in both an office setting as well as outdoor Park environment
· Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities
· Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions
· Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, vibrations, motorized equipment, and exposure to various chemicals and greases
· Subject to bloodborne pathogens Proper PPE is required in these situations.
· Subject to working at significant heights greater than 50 feet
Supervisory Duties:
· Manage all aspects of the Maintenance team and any other assigned departments
· Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
· Manage and control all financial aspects of assigned departments while maximizing revenue and cost savings opportunities maintain constant vigilance over departmental spending and budgets
· Act as a strategic visionary to implement measures that will favorably impact process, people, and/or profit
· Ensure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests.
· Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all maintenance positions and backfill these positions when needed
· Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
· Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with PA law
· Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
· High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred Equivalent work experience will also be considered
· 3–5 years of previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, managing building maintenance, guest facilities, and capital improvement projects. · 2+ year of previous supervisory experience, preferably in a maintenance capacity
· Previous project management experience preferred
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
· Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with PA Child Labor Laws
· Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
· Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and ability to utilize a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner, including landscaping equipment
· Strong background in mechanical, electrical, pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing and carpentry highly desired.
· Ability to read and comprehend ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
· Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, climb, or squat for long periods of time
· Ability to remain sedentary for extended periods of time, while using a computer
· Ability to remain on feet for majority of the workday
· Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 75 pounds or more
· Ability to work in all non-conventional areas of the property, including in confined spaces or above ground-level, on scaffolds, ladders, and manlifts
· Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools
· Ability to see differences between colors and brightness
· Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away
