Full job description

In this role, you will manage daily Meat Department operations, contribute to sales and profitability, and ensure consistent adherence to freshness, food safety, and merchandising standards. This position operates in a fast ‑ paced retail environment where effective planning, follow ‑ through, and leadership directly influence department performance.

Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations

Maintain a professional, customer ‑ focused environment and respond to customer inquiries and special orders

Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising

Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to company standards

Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements

Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals

Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses

Maintain clean, safe work areas including preparation rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment

Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance expectations

Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits

Ability to lead teams in a structured, time ‑ sensitive environment

Store systems, ordering platforms, and department documentation

Ability to review sales, labor, inventory, and production data

Ability to train and direct associates across department functions

Ability to operate department tools and equipment following company guidelines

Ability to lift, move, and handle product and work in cooler and freezer environments
