Full job description

- Serve as the primary point of contact for private equity clients. - Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their financial goals and objectives. - Provide personalized tax planning and advisory services tailored to the unique needs of each client.

- Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for private equity clients. - Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize tax efficiency. - Advise clients on various tax-related matters.

- Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, including tax managers, senior tax consultants, and other staff. - Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. - Oversee the workflow and ensure timely and accurate delivery of tax services.

- Ensure that tax returns as well as related documents are prepared accurately and filed on time. - Navigate the complexities of clients' tax strategies, challenges and provide solutions. - Review complex tax returns and financial statements. - Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for tax compliance.

- Identify opportunities to expand the firm's private equity tax practice. - Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client presentations. - Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies.

- Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with tax planning and compliance. - Implement internal controls and best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery.

- Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field. - Extensive experience in tax planning and compliance, with a focus on private equity clients. - Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations. - Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. - Proven ability to manage and develop a team. - Exceptional communication and presentation skills. - Business development and client relationship management experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 6 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
