Full job description

Want to help us help others? We’re hiring!

GoFundMe is the world’s most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.

Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for a skilled and passionate Analyst II to join our global Trust & Safety team. In this dynamic role, you will be required to operate at an impeccable level of consistency while mastering new techniques and technologies to ensure GoFundMe remains a safe place to give and receive donations online.

Trust & Safety is an integral part of GoFundMe's business. It drives growth, builds and nurtures our brand, and ensures that we always do the right thing by our customers. We are at the front line of GoFundMe’s efforts to protect donors, fundraiser organizers, beneficiaries, and our company from financial crimes and abuse.

We are searching for our next Analyst II, Regulatory Reporting to help interpret regulatory changes and ensure our products, policies, and communications comply with all relevant laws and standards. This includes preparing reports, documentation, and responses to regulatory agencies while collaborating across teams to integrate compliance into product planning.

Already part of our team? We ask that internal candidates apply via the internal job board to ensure your application is reviewed appropriately.

The Job
  • Own the end-to-end preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) from identifying potentially reportable activity through drafting clear, factual, filing-ready narratives complete with relevant analysis.
  • Review case files and escalations to determine whether activity meets the threshold for STR filing, applying AML/CTF typologies and jurisdiction-specific regulatory guidance.
  • Analyze transaction and user data to substantiate STR narratives, ensuring findings are well-documented and audit-ready.
  • Track STR filing deadlines across jurisdictions and escalate time-sensitive cases to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting timelines.
  • Partner with Transaction Monitoring, Compliance, CDD/EDD teams, and any relevant team to gather supporting evidence and confirm reportability determinations.
  • Maintain accurate STR logs and filing metrics to support internal audit and regulatory examination readiness.
  • Provide quality feedback to peers on STR narrative writing and reportability assessments, supporting consistency across the team.
  • Stay current on evolving STR/SAR filing requirements and financial crime typologies, incorporating changes into daily reporting practice, and escalating as appropriate.
  • You

  • 2-5 years experience in regulatory/STR reporting, financial crime investigations, transaction monitoring, or compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent supplemental work experience.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Looker, SQL, Excel) and transaction monitoring or case management systems.
  • Working knowledge of AML, KYC, and sanctions regulations, and STR/SAR filing requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Strong narrative writing skills, with the ability to translate complex transaction data into clear, regulator-ready filings.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and regulatory guidance into sound, well-documented filing decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluency in English and one of either: Spanish, French, German, or Italian.
  • Strong ethical standards and discretion when handling sensitive information.
